South Austin Museum of Popular Culture

Saturday night I attended a reception at the South Austin Museum of Popular Culture. It was a gallery opening for the collection of Roky Erickson. Some wonderful pieces of album cover and poster art, as well as some other paintings and other artwork.

The highlight of the night was meeting Roky in person. He came with his brother Sumner after Sumner's gig at some other venue. Since this is SXSW week there's going to be all sorts of things happening. My calendar is completely full for the next week.
