What's wrong with this picture?

Last Saturday morning my second son and I planned to do some yard work. I didn't do my usual wake 'n' bake because I was getting low on herb. Also, my son doesn't partake, so I thought I'd just stay on his wave length while we were spending time together.

About mid-morning, after my son left to do some errands, I sat in my living room in a funk. I had a lot of chores to do but no will to do any of them. I hadn't been shopping in awhile, so there wasn't much in the house in the way of groceries . As I sat and stared out the open door, I concluded that my plan to forego the medicine had been a mistake.

One blessed bowl later, everything suddenly was beautiful. The day was gorgeous, the birds were singing. I opened the refrigerator and took out the ingredients of a gourmet omelet. I made food to nourish our bodies and provide pleasure to our taste buds.

So I'd love to ask these people who are fighting against medical marijuana, or just marijuana in general, "What's wrong with that? What's wrong with wanting to feel better?" When someone has a headache, they take asprin. When they have heartburn, they take antacids. So why should it be a crime, or a sin for that matter, if people want to make their minds and bodies feel better?

At the House committee meeting on HB 658 last Tuesday two of the conservative women did not even attend the hearing. Why anyone would remain ignorant by choice is beyond my understanding.
