Bloggers I like
I've listed some new links on the sidebar over there to your right. The new category is "Other Blogs I Like". This list includes some blogs that I found while surfing at some point in time and try to read occasionally, and one that I just learned about from Grits. This one, called Prison Life, really made an impression on me. The blogger is a 27-year-old inmate who sends his entries via e-mail to someone who posts for him. A worthwhile read and a glimpse into a world most of us will never know.
The others:
10,000 Monkeys and a Camera -- General eccentricity from Chattanooga.
Home of the Groove -- "This audioblog is based on the premise that the true Home of the Groove, at least on the North American landmass, was New Orleans, Louisiana, and will be again one day soon, as we cannot afford to lose it." Loads of info about NOLA music.
Rick Perry vs. The World -- When I first started reading this, I thought that it was more of a muckraking-type blog...now I realize that it's commentary from a Republican on the 2006 gubenatorial race. Still interesting and thought-provoking.
and later........
From the sound of all the horns I'm hearing I assume that UT just won the Rose Bowl.
