Marijuana Policy Project Gala

Nearly 300 MPP supporters attended MPP's awards gala in New York City on June 12, 2006. The event honored U.S. Rep. Maurice Hinchey (D-NY) with MPP's Legislative Leadership award, as well as MS patient -- and first Rhode Island legal medical marijuana patient -- Rhonda O'Donnell with MPP's Activist of the Year award.

The evening featured entertainment by national touring act Medeski Martin & Wood, Jackie "the Jokeman" Martling, and radio personality Jim Hightower, among others.
