Lobby day 07

I don't know what's up with this new Blogger. On my home computer there's a picture of a patient speaking on the steps of the Captiol yesterday at Lobby Day, sponsored by Texans for Medical Marijuana. The picture doesn't show up on my work computer. Hope you can see it.

There were only about 30 participants this year, about half the number we had last session. After this news conference and lunch, teams of people visited legislators' offices to encourage support for HB 1534.

The bill was assigned to the Public Health committee rather than the Criminal Jurisprudence committee. This is something different from the two previous sessions, although this is the logical place for it. Time will tell if that will make any difference in the outcome.
